Tony Mawer

I am a retired civil servant. I moved back to Barnard Castle from Northallerton three years ago to down size and achieve being closer to part of our family.

I was asked by Rev. Bev Hollings to undertake the role of Circuit Steward to help with the preparations for the amalgamation of the Barnard Castle & Teesdale and Darlington Circuits which has come about.

I have responsibilities as a Covid team member; helping with the initial assessment of the Cotherstone project,  also a representative on the Church council at Staindrop, and have undertaken at sometime most of the roles within the Methodist Church.

This journey has been a challenging one, but also a privilege, and a blessing.
