A warm welcome awaits you at Barnard Castle Methodist Church. Our Church is situated centrally in the main street and there is plenty of on street parking available nearby and in the town car park. At the side of the Church there is an accessible ramp.

Sunday morning services commence at 10:30am and hand sanitisation materials are available at the door. Hymns are projected onto a screen. If you wish to use a hymn book please ask the door Steward and they will be more than happy to supply you with one. Bibles are available in the pews. We share Holy Communion once a month and everyone is invited to partake. Fellowship continues with fresh coffee, tea and biscuits being served in the reception area. This time offers the opportunity to chat and get to know one another better.

Our Mission Statement – "Knowing Jesus and making Jesus known" reminds us how important Jesus is in our lives and living a life with Jesus helps us to pass on that way of life to others.

We do have a variety of functions during the week:

Monday morning prayer at 9am – a good start for the week ahead with 30 minutes of devotion.

Our Wednesday coffee morning from 10-12 noon is a wonderful outreach opportunity with the community coming to have a coffee or tea and biscuit and a chat. On the first Wednesday of every month home baking is provided along with coffee and tea and all monies raised go to a different charity each month.

On the second and fourth Thursday each month, a Bible study group meets at 7:30pm – venue varies. All are welcome to join in.

We try every quarter to have some sort of get-together whether it be a quiz, English country dancing or a sing-along, these events are very much enjoyed and appreciated by all.

As our Church is in a central position, it offers an opportunity for the community to use the premises. We have a variety of outside groups using the building.

Our Church supports the local foodbank in West Auckland through church members, bringing along gifts of food etc., or by giving monetary donations.

We are an eco-church and strive to do our utmost to help the planet.

If you wish to contact us, our email is bcmethodists@gmail.com

We look forward to meeting you soon.
